Cross-border cooperation as a Factor of Development of Czech - Poland Borderland

The subject of the diploma thesis is the possibilities of the cross-border cooperation situated in micro-regions of the Czech-Polish border. Generally, the border areas are locally disadvantaged and determined by both geographical and administrative structure. In a relation of joining the Czech Republic the European Union, the euro-regions has gained the importance of their unique position with the cross.border cooperation on the regional level.
The first part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical introduction in this isuue. It covers the description of the historical development of the cooperation and the reason for the establishment of the region cooperation across the state borders in Europe.
The second part is practical and it deals with an analysis of the real implemented project of the cross-border cooperation in Euro-region Glacensis. Subsequently, it concerns the review and the evalution of their contribution to the development of the euro-region.
The practical part is particulary based on the analysis of the scientific literature, documants as well as on the semi-structured interiews with the main participants of the presented projects.

Collecting the EU's Regional Funds

One of the key funding mechanisms of the European Union is the Regional Policy, which helps to implement infrastructure projects across the 27 member states. Money is allocated along a set of objectives and disbursed at the regional level, by 60-odd managing bodies. But who is getting the money and what is it really spent on? The answer lies distributed across the local administrations and has only been collected into a common database once, in 2010. It took the TBIJ and Financial Times eight months to gather the information, leading to a series of disclosures about misallocated funds and shady projects. This is why we believe that there should be a constantly-updated database of these reports, maintained by an open community and available as a resource to journalists and policy makers at any time. The right time to start such a data commons, as the 2007-2013 budgetary cycle of the EU is coming to a close and it's time to get a picture of how well the goals set out for 347 billion Euros of funding during this period have been reflected in actual projects. We want to make a map of member states and regions where open data projects are already collecting this data and then form small teams to take on the uncharted terrtories, find PDF reports and to convert them to clean and useable data. So, join the ERDF Ghostbusters and help us to map the European money!

Comparisson of legal frameworks for cohesion policy within the current and next programming period

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide the reader with basics of the legislative framework of the cohesion policy of the European union within the current programming period 2007-2014. The emphasis is put on the implementation of the cohesion policy on the national level. The thesis should acquaint the reader with bodies and procedures, which have been set by the Comission towards transparent execution of the policy. The second part of this thesis deals with the main differences and changes the Comission proposed in proposals of the Cohesion policy regulations. Finally, the last part deals with the revenue-generating projects and will define the main changes in the methodology. For purposes of this thesis was chosen the priority axis "The Improvement of Water Management Infrastructure and Reduction of Flood Risks".

Options environmental funding from the European Structural Funds

In my bachelor thesis I try to describe and evaluate the possibilities of financing the environmental from European funds - the European Regional Development Fund and the Cohesion Fund, as well as comparison of financing in the selected regions of the Czech Republic. First, I describe some projects in the selected regions (South Bohemia, South Moravia and Central Bohemia), which related with the area of environment and are financed by support from the European Union. I focused on the specific allocation of financial funds to these three regions and compared changes in the allocation of these funds in a period of approximately eight months. The conclusion follows an overview of projects financing in all regions the Czech Republic in this period.

The aim of my baccalaureate thesis called "Environmental Measures of Sustainable Growth in Selected Region" is to analyse environmental measures and their effectivenes as well as using the EU funds in the region of Vysocina in Czech republic. The first part of my paper focuses at introducing the topic of using the financial sources from the EU funds. Practical part of my baccalaureate thesis consists of a set of environmental projects cofinanced from the EU funds. I divided them according to priority axes they belong to and according to the sources of the financing.

USAGE OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES FROM THE EUROPEAN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND (ERDF) FOR REALIZATION REGIONAL OPERATION PROGRAME FOR NUTS III. IN THE SOUTH BOHEMIA REGION

Cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat oblasti (regionu NUTS III Jihočeského kraje) u kterých bude možno využít opatření pro finanční prostředky na vybraná opatření Evropského fondu regionálního rozvoje (ERDF). Součástí tohoto cíle je zjištění, jaká je míra využívání prostředků z tohoto fondu ve srovnání s ostatními fondy a co je ovlivňuje a také poukázat na změny vzniklé v novém programovacím období 2007 {--} 2013. Pro popis možností a podmínek a podmínek v Jihočeském kraji o dotaci Evropského fondu regionálního rozvoje (ERDF) v programovacím období 2007 -2013 je stanoveno několik faktorů. Výsledné podmínky jsou syntézou faktorů jako je legislativa EU a strukturálních fondů, principy regionální politiky, nové nástroje regionální politiky a charakteristika cílů strukturální a regionální politiky v novém programovacím období 2007-2013.

Rozvoj území na česko-polské hranici

Diplomová práce analyzuje průběh a výsledky přeshraniční spolupráce České republiky a Polska.Vychází ze studia strategických dokumentů pro čerpání finančních prostředků ze strukturálních fondů, zejména z ERDF.V první části je uvedeno srovnání českých a polských projektů v rámci Phare CBC a Iniciativy Interreg IIIA,následně jsou zmíněny změny spojené s přeměnou Iniciativy na Cíl 3.Další kapitola je věnována analýze Euroregionu Glacensis.Poslední část uvádí příklad projektu realizovaného v podporované oblasti.
